UPRR High Speed Rail

Selected as QA. The Illinois High Speed Rail (HSR) Project (estimated cost $2.2 billion) is a track development, implementation, and operation program to convert the existing 280-mile route between Chicago and St. Louis into a high-speed rail service line. The corridor is used for both passenger and freight rail services. It is owned by Union Pacific Railroad and operated by Amtrak. The project is headed by the Illinois Department of Transport (IDOT) and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). NST provided QA from Joliet, IL to Springfield, IL for the following phases and companies.
